If you want others to see Christ in you, then you must put on love (Colossians 3:12-14) and display the Fruit of the Spirit (Matthew 7:16-20; Galatians 5:22-23).

However, that requires spending time in God’s presence. Psalm 91:1-2 says, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” The rest of Psalm 91 goes on to list amazing promises that will come true in your life if you fulfill the first two verses; that is, if you dwell in God’s presence and confidently trust in Him.

In order to be a light to the world, we must stay plugged in to God by dwelling in His presence,

The upcoming week looks like I can ride outside 5 of the 6 days. Hopefully the weather cooperates. I took a peek at this weeks ride schedule and my target wattage numbers have been bumped up again and the length of the work segments are longer with shorter rest periods. I did notice there is a lot less 1′ and 5′ power intervals and Saturday is a long 3-4hr ride. Anyone want to tag along????

On a very positive note: My trip to the emergency room Friday night turned out ok. They did a bunch of tests, ultrasound, ekg, and blood work. Everything came back normal. Thank you to all my friends who helped out. It was very comforting knowing that you guys were with the kids while Bren was with me.

While I was cooling down, a question my Wife asked at the dinner table last week popped into my head: “Where did you see GOD today?” It got me thinking……

My day started out with a nice 1 hour Endurance ride on the rollers, while my Wife got out for a quick 4 mile run.

After spending a couple hours at work I got to go, with my Son, on a field trip to the Port Huron Museum to see the big bugs. It was fun following him around the museum talking about all the cool exhibits.

When we returned it was time for a “Brainstormers” assembly. The kids were all asked to submit a story they wrote earlier in the year and the Brainstormers choose several of the stories to act out on stage. She did not know her story was chosen. The story my daughter wrote was about a lost kitten her and her brother found at the playground one day last fall. It was a special moment when they called her up to sit in the “Authors” chair and answer questions about her story.

Lastly, I dropped a water bottle and had to turn around and go back to get it. What I saw was absolutely beautiful.

Where did you see GOD today?

I have a bunch of video game consoles and love playing them all. But, the games on those consoles required practice and a level of skill that my kids do not have yet. I say “yet” because my 6 year old consistently kicks my butt playing tennis on the Wii and his hand eye coordination is improving by leaps and bounds. The Wii has turned out to be a great family activity. We have bowling and tennis tournaments all the time. Its loads of fun and the time we spend together is worth every penny we spent buying the Wii.

Friday night our church group came over and after our meeting we turn on the Wii. It was awesome watching our group of friends all laughing and cheering for each other. It did not matter if you bowled a strike or a gutter ball. We had 6 year olds competing against 40 years olds, guys vs the girls, kids vs the adults. It was loads of fun!

The highlight of the evening was when my friend Patti beat me at bowling. Patti bowled 3 strikes in the tenth frame to force me to step up and do the same. I left the 10 pin standing on my final ball and lost by one point. I guess its time to skip a couple of workouts and start practicing.
